40th Birthday Card

Wendy’s beautiful image for a 40th Birthday

Hi Everyone

Had a fantastic time at the craft show over the weekend at Aintree Racecourse – Liverpool. Managed to meet up with my old friend Wendy from Clipartfairy. Wendy gave me some gorgeous samples of her cards to display on my stand which also had our Meiflower products on. I love Wendy’s work very unsual and unique. Wendy also gave me some of her print outs from her collection to play about with, so I managed to find some time today to come with a design.

The image has been cropped and mounted onto some beautiful paper from Papermania – Capsule Boysenberry collection. I did not want to embellish the image too much.

Diamante buckle with organza ribbon and grosgrain through the centre

Diamante heart buckle togo with the glam look

I used a Martha Stewart punch on black Color Core to go with the sexy lady. I used a wide bubblegum pink organza ribbon with a baby pink grosgrain ribbon through the diamante heart buckle.

May 3rd, 2011

Hi Everyone

Had abit of a mad weekend. We had 2 craft shows in one weekend, Edinburgh on Saturday and Newcastle on Sunday. Feeling very tired today, so i thought I chill out in front of my laptop.

Had a nosey at Traceys blog today and came across this lovely card she made for a Lexi Challenge where she used the black organza ribbon and the black organza flower from Meiflower. I love the way she used the acetate, so unusal.

Smirks Go Shopping

August 17th, 2010

I love the Smirks at the moment. They are so cool and cute, just as cute as Hello Kitty. A lot of my Trimmie friends on Trimcraft Forum are into them as well. I bought a decoupage pack of smirks from the Craft Show . . . . . Of course the girlie pack. Going to use them in a scrapbook for my friends daughter as well, i think she will like them alot. Might even make it into a funky birthday card.

When i flicked through the pack, the 3 cute Smirks shopping caught my eye. I had a card making idea and I knew straight away what design to do. So I got straight down to work.

Decoupaged Smirks Mounted onto Pink and Black

I love the way the smirks have a distinct character even though they don’t have much facial feature, simple yet effective!

Close Up Of Cute Smirk

I decoupaged the Smirks and mounted them onto pink card which i layered onto black and white polka dot paper. To give the Smirks abit of a glam look, i added sequin flowers onto their hair which is attached with silver brads.

Smirking Having A Nice Time

To finish of the card i added matching cute dress stickers along the base, to give the overall girlie card.

Summers Here!

Handbag and shoes birthday card

Handbags & Shoes Card

Summer is finally here….. The weather is beautiful and i love Summer Birthdays!

I chose these colours for this card because they always remind me of summer. Pink, orange, Yellow and Green – Bright, fun colours!

Close up handbag and shoe stickers

These Gel Stickers are gorgeous and just big enough to use individually.

I prefer using funky foam instead of foam pads, as it gives the card good depth. Here i have used Pink Funky Foam and then mounted the sticker on a square piece of card, to give it a layered effect.

Polka dot ribbon used for card making

3 Colours of Polka Dot Ribbon: Cerise Pink, Orange & Yellow

I really love the colours in the Polka Dot Ribbons. Really modern looking and fashionable.

Morning guys!!  Spent last weekend crafting away…..Wanted to make a cute girly card for an upcoming birthday.

I bought some floral vellum ages ago from a craft show…. and it was in my treasured collection just collecting dust, lol. Had this idea with this pretty girl embellishment to use it as the main focal point on the card.
