Cute baby cards

December 22nd, 2010

Hi All

My friend in Taiwan sent me some more photos of her daughter Daisy today. What a cute name! Her full name is Daisy Wu, it really suits her.

So i have decided today to put a couple of cute baby cards on my blog, well they are same design but just in case you want to make a card for a baby boy i have put the boy version on as well.

The base card is a  4 x 4″ square white card

'It's a girl' baby arrival card

This is another very simple card. When using small stickers or toppers, i have discovered that by framing the topper in a matted and layered frame. It makes the topper look bigger by making it a focal point.

I usually pick the bigger items to frame by measuring the topper and making a square slightly bigger than the topper or sticker. This creates a stunning effect, it gives a wow factor on the card. I have framed a cute baby girl, bib and a pink baby pram and chosen some smaller stickers to complement the three stickers.

To finish off the card i have stuck thin lilac satin ribbon on the top and bottom part of the card. I have created a tag using a ‘It’s a girl’ embossed baby ribbon, folded in half and stuck behind the middle framed baby topper.

Dancing teddy

December 18th, 2010

Hello everyone.

It has snowed again last night, so i am sitting in front a warm fire again. Went out to the corner shop in my snow boots, not tried them out yet. I am so glad i bought them, they are lovely amd warm. My hubby has gone away, so i think it will be abit of a shock to his system when he comes back on Monday.

So yes i am doing some work on my blog. It is nice to share my ideas with everyone. Hope you like my ideas. This teddy card is a design from the Create and Craft baby set of cards. I will somehow get around to putting all the designs on my blog.

Selection of baby stickers mounted onto a strip of white card

I have selected a few of the baby boy items from the baby sticker pack and stuck them onto a strip of white card, slightly wider than the stickers. Mounted onto a piece of baby blue bazzil card.

Special Baby Card

December 8th, 2010

Hi Everyone

My friend Michelle Lancaster( Sparkle68) from the Trimcraft Forum has made some lovely baby cards using Meiflower products.

Baby card for new baby

Awww such a gorgeous baby card!

This is Michelles instructions to make baby card in pink.

This is a 14cm square card and the teddy and ribbon are from Meiflower’s on-line shop. I used bazil bling pink card and Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots backing paper. I used nestebilities to make the circle and scalloped circle that the teddy is dancing in. I used pink buttons from my stash and threaded embroidery thread through these. I attached them with large glue dots. I stamped the sentiment on the polka dot paper and mounted onto white card.”

I love the way Michelle has used the buttons to finish off the card. This is a truly amazing card, well done Michelle! Thank you for letting me share this with everyone. Full Instructions on Trimcraft forum.

My Dancing Bear Baby Card

I think Michelle has put me to shame. I need to step it up a gear and get my head down to do some more card designs. I have managed to take some photographs of cards i made for Create and craft, so i will be putting them on the blog very soon.

This is my baby card using the blue dancing teddy bear. Matted and layered onto white and baby blue card.

My dancing teddy bear card

I have used a large square white card as the base card. On the bottom half of the card, i have used a light baby blue stripy paper. On the top edge of the stripy paper i have added embossed ‘it’s a baby’ grosgrain ribbon.

The ‘baby’ sentiment is made from a section of printed grosgrain baby ribbon. Stuck onto a piece of card slightly larger than the ribbon.

Busy Making Baby Cards

October 11th, 2010

Lately we’ve have had quite a few addictions to our family, so i have been mad making baby cards.

I wanted to make something different for my sister-in-law, because she used to work with me, so i thought i would use some different products.

We did not know what sex the baby was, so had to make a baby boy and girl card. I prefer to make a boy and girl card, i think it looks more personal than neutral yellow or cream.

My Sister-in- law told me she bought a gorgeous moses basket, so i knew she would like this card.

I loved the layout of the baby boy card, so i used the same layout for a baby girl easal card.

I love using the dancing bear i think his blue gingham outfit is so cute. In the past i made a really nice baby card with the dancing bear holding a balloon in his right hand.
