Baby Blues

January 26th, 2011

Hi Everyone

My poor boiler has broken down. Don’t mind not having central heatinbg but no hot water! My hair looks like a chip pan, I swear the post office man was giving me funny looks before. Hopefully it will be fixed tommorrow.

We are doing a special promotion on the website for some baby ribbon. So I thought I share another baby card with you all. There are a few more baby cards on my blog, just click into the baby section. I have used the dancing bear, baby stickers, baby blue thin satin ribbon and printed baby grosgrain ribbon from Meiflower.

This design is made on a C6 white card.

'It's A Boy' baby card for a birth of a new baby

I have covered the front of the card with baby blue bazzil card. Stuck thin baby blue satin ribbon onto the top and bottom section of the card. I have matted and layed white and baby blue card , rounded the corners with a corner punch and stuck the dancing bear onto top.

I love using the baby stickers, so I have selected 3 from the sheet to stick onto a piece of white card.

Before I stuck down the dancing bear topper, I cut a piece of ‘It’s A Boy’ ribbon and folded into a tag. Stuck the tag behind the topper.

Cute waving teddy

January 5th, 2011

Hi Everyone,

Woke up again to a thin layer of snow again and thought….. Oh no here we go again, the big freeze for another few weeks but luckily it has all melted away. Can’t believe Christmas has come and gone, it has passed sooo quick.

My sister-in-law is due to give birth to a baby boy end of this month. So i need to sit down and make a baby card A.S.A.P. This is a card i made for Create and Craft using the baby pack from Meiflower

This design is made on a 6 x 6″ white square card

I have mounted the cute waving teddy in a white square, rounded the corners with a small corner punch and layered onto a scalloped square made from a nestibillitie die using baby blue gingham card.

'Its a boy' grosgrain ribbon folded in half to create a tag

Before I stuck the the square onto the gingham square scallop. I have folded a piece of embossed ‘Its a boy’ grosgrain ribbon in half to create a tag and stuck the excess behind the white square.

'Its a Boy' printed grosgrain ribbon used to give different texture

To finish off the card, i have used a strip of printed grosgrain ribbon with ‘Its a Boy’.  This creates a stunning effect and it goes really well with the rest of the design.

‘It’s a Girl!’

December 31st, 2010

I am just sitting here and clicking through my blog to see what cards i have posted. Just realised that I have not put any baby cards with this cute baby patch on. This is one of the cards i designed for Create and Craft T.V, so I thought I share it with you all.

I have used a white 6 x 6″ square card as the base card.

I have matted and layered bazzil pink card and baby pink gingham card to mount the baby teddy patch onto. To make it the focal point of the baby card.

Fabric embellishment for card making, scrapbooking, gift tags

Cute 'It's a Girl!' fabric patch

I have used my favourite baby stickers with this card. I love using these stickers they are so adorable, you only need a few stickers for a card but they give a stunning affect.

Cute gel stickers for card making, scrapbooking, bookmarks, children novelty stickers

Cute baby stickers used on baby card

To make the baby stickers look bigger, I have used my trick off mounting the stickers in a pink and white rectangle. By framing small stickers, I find that they don’t look lost on a card.

At the bottom part of the card I have stuck matching baby pink bazzil card with a strip of matching baby pink grosgrain ribbon on top..
