True Love Part 2
January 20th, 2011
Hi Everyone
Wow! I have managed to keep to my word and post card design No.2 for Valentines Day. Hope you liked the first valentines day card that i posted yesterday.
So are you making a handmade card or making a romantic meal for your other half? I made my OH a heart shaped floral arrangement a few years ago, sadly my photos have dissappeared when my OH laptop crashed. I lost alot of photos. of family and my card and flower arranging design work …. sob.
Anyway back to todays project. Most of the items are from the love heart kit from my craft website.
The base card is a 6 x 6″ white square card
I have used the bright red heart from the love heart kit to make this black and red themed card. The backing paper is a scrapbook paper I bought from the Ally Pally craft show last year. I love using this paper, it looks really nice on any special occasion card.
In the middle of the red heart, I have stuck black LOVE peel off. Well it was silver but I coloured in the peel off with a promaker pen. I have stuck the clear irridesent flowers randomly to create a pattern on the red heart which gives a bit more dimension. On the middle of the sequin flowers, I have pick out the large cerise gems and stuck them down with glue.
To finish off the card, I have stuck a piece of red grosgrain ribbon along the bottom section with 3 large cerise gems to complement the heart.
Hi Mei – This card is gorgeous, this I would give to my OH. My kit turned up today, I only ordered it yesterday!! It’s gorgeous and your service is fantastic – Michelle x
love the way you’ve stuck the pink gems on top of the sequins it makes them really stick out.
Nice touch adding the red grosgrain ribbon, good play on textures.
