Special Baby Card
December 8th, 2010
Hi Everyone
My friend Michelle Lancaster( Sparkle68) from the Trimcraft Forum has made some lovely baby cards using Meiflower products.
This is Michelles instructions to make baby card in pink.
This is a 14cm square card and the teddy and ribbon are from Meiflower’s on-line shop. I used bazil bling pink card and Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots backing paper. I used nestebilities to make the circle and scalloped circle that the teddy is dancing in. I used pink buttons from my stash and threaded embroidery thread through these. I attached them with large glue dots. I stamped the sentiment on the polka dot paper and mounted onto white card.”
I love the way Michelle has used the buttons to finish off the card. This is a truly amazing card, well done Michelle! Thank you for letting me share this with everyone. Full Instructions on Trimcraft forum.
My Dancing Bear Baby Card
I think Michelle has put me to shame. I need to step it up a gear and get my head down to do some more card designs. I have managed to take some photographs of cards i made for Create and craft, so i will be putting them on the blog very soon.
This is my baby card using the blue dancing teddy bear. Matted and layered onto white and baby blue card.
I have used a large square white card as the base card. On the bottom half of the card, i have used a light baby blue stripy paper. On the top edge of the stripy paper i have added embossed ‘it’s a baby’ grosgrain ribbon.
The ‘baby’ sentiment is made from a section of printed grosgrain baby ribbon. Stuck onto a piece of card slightly larger than the ribbon.
Glad you liked my card enough to put it on your blog Mei, I’m very flattered.
I also really like your cute baby card and I think the sentiment cut from ribbon is a really nifty idea and looks gorgeous. :0) Michelle
