Snowed in!
December 11th, 2010
Hi everyone
Just updating my blog on a snowy frosty day but it looks gorgeous looking out the window, it looks so pretty with the snow.
Sittiing down in front of the warm fire and thought i share a Christmas card i made for my sister. Just been so busy and finally managed to find time to put this on my blog.
My hubby was abit shocked when i showed him this Christmas card design because it is not usually a colour combination i would usually use for Christams cards. I think after making cards for Create and craft shopping channel, it is nice to do something completely different.
I love using pink and sage green, so i thought i try and do a combination for this Christmas card design. My sister loves anything with gems on and ribbon.
I have used a large square white card for the basecard. The pink polka dot paper is a pretty scrapbooking paper which i bought on my travels around the craft shows. I have used a fiskars scalloped edging punch for the top and bottom edge of the paper. I have stuck thin pink grosgrain ribbon on top and bottom part of the paper. I have used wrapped a gorgeous sage green organza around the card and tied into a bow at the front of the card.
The ‘make a wish’ sentiment i cut out from a scrapbook paper which i bought from craft show. I framed the sentiment in a sage green scalloped circle, made from nestible die . Around the edge i stuck some pretty self adhesive pink pearls around the edge. Two sequin snowflakes attached to centre with a brad and silver jumpring to attach the snowflakes together.
It’s wonderful, I love that
This is so beautiful. The colour combination looks amazing. Your sister will adore this :0) Michelle
What a fab card, I am sure your sister will love it.
